What this site is
BestageStreet gives every New York City street its own page: 9,000+ streets tracked on the map, 5,700+ of them carrying a grade from 0 to 100.
Scores are built from 311 complaints, HPD violations, NYPD crash records, NYPD felony complaint records, MTA stop locations, DOHMH food permits, and the street tree census, divided by the homes and businesses on the street, updated weekly. The rate is then ranked against comparable streets, so a main road is measured against other main roads and a quiet residential block against other quiet residential blocks.

How the grade is built
The scoring method sets out what each half of the number measures and where the letter cuts fall. The data sources page lists every dataset behind it and how fresh each one is.
