What the island pays for it is total. It has the weakest walkable-food readings in the city and shares the weakest transit readings with Queens, and since roughly a third of the score is what a street can reach on foot, the borough finishes third overall at 49. The clearest illustration is Todt Hill Road, the mansion road on the ridge, which scores 32 on a traffic-safety reading of zero with nothing inside a walk of it.
